Direzione Generale della Formazione (Ex ISSP)
The former Higher Institute for Penitentiary Studies was established by the decreto legislativo 30 October 1992, n.446. It is an Academy targeting the training of the executive ranks and public officials of the Penitentiary Administration. It is delivering all types of training ranging from the initial training to in-service and specialized programmes.
The former Higher Institute for Penitentiary Studies is also providing surveys on penitentiary issues and is delivering activities to enhance the value of experience in the field and in-depth studies on the staff juridical/penitentiary culture.
